Interpreting the Tea Leaves

I mentioned last time that I would try to post Alex’s Harry Potter poem. Here it is, but first a bit of background.
I mentioned last time that I would try to post Alex’s Harry Potter poem. Here it is, but first a bit of background.

In Harry Potter, for those who may not have read it, there is a point where Harry is in Divination class and they read the tea leaves. This poem is Alex’s poetic guide to interpreting tea leaves and what their shapes mean for your future.

Interpreting the Tea Leaves
by Alex Iekel-Johnson

C = be with a bear
Rabbit hole = live with a rabbit
Deep end of AAO pool = drown

ladle = fall in soup.
booger hanging out of nose = booger fall on you.

tea leaf = eat a tea leaf.

panda = bamboo = ninja = good = best person
fist = crushed
snake = be slimey
hand out of mud = zombie

(AAO is his school -- Ann Arbor Open).

Here is one of his other poems. This one was inspired by apparating -- the name in Harry Potter for magically transporting yourself to new places.

Apparating
by Alex Iekel-Johnson

Old very classical dusty.
Very old stuff cowboys

Fun racing battle.
Very exciting jets.
On a very hot beach.

Very much like China like ninjas.
Ready to attack.
Everything moves fast

Very much like dancing fast movement.
White houses

Catchy music
Very fun place with lots of excitement.
Lots of friends that are playing.

It’s so fun to see him being creative!
